The primary responsibility of all Movers is to move wood from one location to another. Movers serve on each of the woodlot work teams, but their responsibilities differ based on the needs of the team.

Movers do not required specific WNC FireWood certification as their training is on-the-job training.

Cutting Team Mover

These movers primarily move rounds cut by the team to the splitting area and require a greater lifting and rolling strength compared to the other mover positions. More…

These movers primarily move split wood to a pile for stacking by the Stacking Team. They may also need to help the Splitter to position rounds on the log splitter and other similar tasks, and thus have an intermediate strength requirement. More…
